Debra L. Morgan

Olean, NY     Debra L. Morgan of 746 Prospect Avenue, passed away unexpectedly Monday (October 16, 2017) at her home.

Born April 26, 1965 in Olean she was the daughter of David A. Morgan and Audrey Becker Powless.

Debra graduated from Olean High School and also attended Jamestown Community College.  For several years she enjoyed volunteering for the Olean General Hospital.  After her mother's death in 2015, she capably maintained her independence in her own home and did so with the loving help from her family, her caregiver Cheryl and her "second Mom" Pat Studd.  She enjoyed her time playing games on the computer, the loving companionship of her dog Buddy, and especially the frequent contact with her great niece Audrey and great nephew Leland.

Surviving are 2 sisters Bonnie (Tim) Buchanan of Olean and Cindy Kay of Florida; 2 nephews Brandon (Jamie Mason) Buchanan of Olean and Jonathan Tilly of Arcade and 7 great nieces and nephews Audrey, Leland, Tapenga, Haley, Denton, Alexis and Jacob.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a niece Amber Smithson.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 1-3 & 6-8pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd., Olean.  Funeral services will be held Friday (October 20, 2017) at 11am in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean.
