As a student, I worked at the university in the journalism department and Jerry was the man in charge of Plassmann Hall. He always had a greeting for us working students and he would check on us if we were working in the evening, as we got ready for the department's big events. He was one of the nicest people I ever met and he was wonderful to work with. He always had that quiet smile, gentle voice and thoughtfulness for everyone around him.
