Randall E. Smith
Benld, IL Randall E. Smith, 52, of 206 Kentucky St., formerly of Olean, passed away Tuesday (November 29, 2016) after a brief illness.
Born July 7, 1964 in Altoona, PA he was the son of Eugene and Gloria Flick Smith.
Randy moved from Olean to Benld 17 years ago, and had been employed as a technician for Mediacom Co. in Illinois. He enjoyed reading and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his mother of Olean; a daughter Tracy Smith of Allegany; a grandson Nathan Fish of Allegany; 2 sisters Cindy (James) Karroach of Allegany and Lori Slavin of Olean; a niece Brittney Karroach and 3 nephews Jason Karroach, Tyler Slavin and Jared Slavin.
He was predeceased by his father.
The family will be present to receive friends for a memorial gathering from 2-4pm on Saturday (December 17, 2016) at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 4600 Main St #101, Buffalo, NY 14226 or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed at oleanfuneralhome.com.
