Roger W. Maynard, Jr.
Allegany, NY Roger W. Maynard, Jr. of 3617 Five Mile Rd. passed away unexpectedly Tuesday (November 29, 2016) shortly upon arrival at Olean General Hospital.
Born October 31, 1962 in Olean he was a son of Roger W. and Izora Clark Maynard, Sr.
Roger was a loving brother and uncle to his family and enjoyed playing sports with his nieces and nephews as well as dancing. He had been employed at SubCon Industries for a period of years.
Surviving are 9 brothers and sisters John Maynard and Izora Maynard, both of Olean, Joyce Maynard of Jamestown, Esther (Paul) Desnoyers of Allegany, Carol (Randy) Curtis of Duke Center, PA, Mary (Donald) Haddock of Grifton, NC, Thomas (Celeste) Scott of Southern Pines, NC, Patricia (Gary) Baldwin of Olean and Dawn (Robert) Best of Cuba; many nieces and nephews and a close friend Gabby Mataya of Olean.
He was predeceased by his parents; his stepmother Louise Scott Maynard and a brother Frederick Maynard.
Friends will be received from 10-1pm on Thursday (December 1, 2016) at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Services will follow at 1pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery, Olean.
