Obituary of Charles L. Fellows

CHARLES L. FELLOWS ALLEGANY - Charles L. Fellows of 3974 Route 417 and formerly of Salamanca died Wednesday November 19, 2003 at the Olean General Hospital. Born in Salamanca, NY on December 14, 1913 he was a son of Herbert A. and Emma Johnson Fellows. Mr. Fellows served with the United States Army during WWII where he earned the bronze star medal, Good conduct medal and the European African Middle Eastern service medal with 6 bronze stars. He was employed for several years as a fireman in California. He later worked at Jamestown Table Company in Jamestown, Warren and Salamanca. He will be remembered as a true gentleman who loved the simple things in life. He enjoyed sunshine, people, going for long drives, coffee and food. He is survived by his loving and caring sister Sybel Fellows with whom he resided. He was predeceased by two brothers Robert and Merrill Fellows and a sister Cecilia !McMahan. There will be no public visitations or funeral services. Memorials may be made to Homecare and Hospice, 1225 West State Rd., Olean, NY 14760. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean.
