Tom and I enjoyed the same privilege of being "extended family" of the Gunther family and spent so many hours together on Sundays playing football in their yard and watching Bills games.Tom loved playing quarterback and I can still see him marking out the plays on his hand. I remember him hard at work at the Service Store back in the days when the boys still carried the groceries out to the car. He helped my mother immeasurably through the years and he even came to her funeral in Sept. St. John's Church is where he was always to be found in my experience. Whenever I was home and stopped in for Mass- there he was - up toward the front on the left hand side where he and his family had sat for years. Just a joyous man! An awful lot of energy packed into a small package. I am very sorry for your loss.
