Obituary of Stephen J. Giardini

Stephen J. Giardini "Loving husband, father and brother" Olean, NY Stephen J. Giardini, 48, of 1424 South Avenue passed away Wednesday (December 16, 2015) at his home, after a brief illness. Born March 4, 1967 in Olean he was the son of Victor J. and Patricia A. Panada Giardini. On June 11, 1994 in Allegany he married Mary D. Gleason who survives. Stephen was a graduate of Allegany High School and had received an associate's degree from UMA of Florida. He was currently employed by St. Bonaventure University as a security dispatcher. He was a member of the Allegany Fire Department where he served as a longtime volunteer. He also loved doing crafts and participating in craft shows. He most enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving besides his wife are a son Andrew J. Giardini at home; a brother Christopher (Michelle) Giardini of Summerville, SC; 2 sisters Angela (Thomas) Nelson of Olean and Valerie (Emil) Westfall of Franklinville and several extended family members including nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents. Friends may call at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday (December 19, 2015) at 10:00am at the St. Bonaventure University Chapel. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Mt. Irenaeus Franciscan Retreat, P.O.
