Obituary of Josephine P. Learn

Hinsdale- Josephine P. Learn of 4170, Route 16 in Hinsdale, passed away Wednesday (November 18, 2015) at the Olean General Hospital. Born April 17, 1927 in Buffalo, she was the daughter of Joseph and Rose LoBuglio LoGalbo. On November 14, 1945 in Buffalo, she married Robert E. Learn, who predeceased her on January 6, 2000. With her husband, Mrs. Learn owned and operated Bryant Food Shop and Delicatessen in Buffalo before moving to the area. She later went to work for the former Weston's Shopper City. She was the past President for the Hinsdale American Legion Norton Chambers Post 1434, Auxiliary. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting, reading, doing crossword puzzles, playing with puppies and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are three children Robert D. (Linda) Learn of North Carolina, Barbara Harley of New Mexico, Sharon (Theodore) Mascho of Hinsdale; fourteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two sisters Gloria Manzone and Marian Myers; one brother Richard LoGalbo; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers Russell and Joseph LoGalbo; and two sisters Ann Gagliano and Mary Bartolotta. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home on Sunday from 3-5pm and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (November 24, 2015) at 10am at the funeral home. Rev. David Tourville, associate pastor at St. Mary of the Angels Church will officiate. Burial will be at the Hinsdale Cemetery, Maplehurst, NY.
