Obituary of Dorothy E. Wolf

Dorothy E. Wolf Allegany, NY Dorothy E. Wolf, formerly of Birch Run Rd. and a recent resident of the Bradford (PA) Ecumenical Home passed away peacefully Wednesday (September 30, 2015) in Bradford. Born March 26, 1936 in Allegany she was a daughter of Otto and Mary Grader Wolf. Dorothy was a graduate of Allegany High School. From 1955 to 1958 she served with the US Navy WAVES. From 1958 until 1998 she resided in the Alameda and Oakland, CA areas where she worked as a customer service representative for various insurance agencies prior to her retirement and relocation to Allegany. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Allegany and the Sixty Plus of Allegany. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels for several years. Surviving are 1 brother Ronald (Julie) Wolf of Allegany; 1 sister Eileen (Leo) Turner of Allegany and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 5 brothers George Wolf (wife Sophie), Robert Wolf (wife Evelyn), Kenneth Wolf (wife Maxine), Donald "Dick" Wolf and John Wolf and 1 sister Murble Heinrich (husband William). Friends will be received tonight from 6-8pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Visitation will also be held from 10:30 to 11:00am on Saturday (October 3, 2015) at St. John's Lutheran Church, N. 4th St. Allegany. Services will begin at the church at 11:00am with Rev. Dan Buringrud, pastor, officiating. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
