Obituary of Ann M. Daniels

Ann M. Daniels Olean, NY Ann M. Daniels of Olean passed away peacefully Sunday (August 23, 2015) at the Olean General Hospital after a short illness. Born December 20, 1947 in Olean she was the daughter of Douglas and Joyce Gayton Daniels. Miss Daniels was a lifelong resident of Olean and in her earlier years she enjoyed playing basketball. She liked shopping and later she liked watching football, doing latch hook and cross-stitch. As one who enjoyed helping others, she knitted hats for the Olean General Hospital newborn nursery. She had been employed by SubCon Industries in Olean and more recently had been active with Total Senior Care and enjoyed the company of her friends. Surviving are her loving cousins Gary (Cindy) Parks, Stephen (Tammy) Parks, Jacqueline Engelhardt, Jennifer Matta Wood, Jim Gayton, Rod (Yuki) Gayton, Marilyn Hammel and Mavis Graham. She is also survived by her aunt Phyllis Gayton Matta. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a cousin Mickey Parks and a special friend Meryl. Friends may visit on Thursday (August 27, 2015) from 9am until 10am at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Services will begin at 10am at the funeral home with Rev. Gerald Slack, Sr. of Sacred Temple Church and Rev. Mike Nolder of Living Waters Church to co-officiate. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville.
