Maxine R. Martin
Allegany, NY Maxine R. Martin of Allegany passed away peacefully Monday (June 29, 2015) at The Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olean following a long-term illness.
Born July 13, 1936 in Cattaraugus she was the daughter of Earl and Leona Crosby Rogers. In 1972 she married Charles Martin who predeceased her April 14, 2005.
Maxine lived in Olean for most of her life. She enjoyed cooking, was an avid Buffalo Bills and NY Yankees fan, and enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
Surviving are a daughter Cheryl (Dominic) Papasergi of Allegany; 2 sons Joseph Johnston and Daniel (Nancy) Martin, both of Olean; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Crystal Cucciaro of Olean and Greta Randolph of Rushford; a brother Earl Rogers of Bolivar and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a daughter Deborah (William) Weatherly; a sister Teresa Veno and 3 brothers Robert Rogers, Dave Rogers and Dennis Rogers.
At Maxine's request, there will be no visitation and a private celebration of Maxine's life will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery.
