Obituary of David M. Washington

David M. Washington Olean, NY David M. Washington of 302 W. Sullivan St. passed away Thursday (June 4, 2015) at his home after a long illness. Born September 24, 1973 in Olean he was the son of Michael and Mary "Sue" Lockwood Washington. David was a graduate of Allegany Central School and later graduated from Jamestown Community College. He was finishing his senior year at St. Bonaventure University where he was regularly on the Dean's list. He had been employed for the former Dal-Tile in Olean for ten years, and was an enthusiastic fisherman and enjoyed fly-tying. He also liked collecting stamps and in the past was a weightlifter and body builder. Surviving besides his parents of Allegany are a brother Timothy J. (Nicole) Washington of Allegany; 2 nephews Hayden and Gaveyn; a niece Lakeyn and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends are invited Tuesday (June 9, 2015) at 5pm to the Allegany American Legion, 4350 Route 417W, where a Celebration of Life gathering will be held. Burial will follow at a later date in Green Cemetery, Great Valley. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Allegany Cub Scout Pack 677, Scout Camp Fund, 4048 S. Nine Mile Rd. Allegany, NY 14706.
