Grace Elenor Nunamaker
Olean, NY Grace E. Nunamaker, formerly of N. 18th St. passed away Wednesday (March 4, 2015) at The Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Olean after a long illness.
Born April 27, 1933 in Rimersburg, PA in Clarion County she was the daughter of James A. and Nellie P. Logan Nunamaker.
Grace was a graduate of Olean High School and had been employed for many years by Welch's Restaurant in Olean.. She moved to Florida in 1985 where she worked as an associate of G. C. Murphy in St. Petersburg, and later as an associate of Beall's Department Store in Orange Park. She returned to Olean upon retirement from Beall's and resided at 307 N. 18th St.
She was a member of the former First Methodist Church in Olean for many years and taught Sunday school. She enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, baking, and spending time with her family. She was an avid bargain hunter.
Surviving are a son James V. (Gail) Everitt, Jr. of West Chester, OH; 2 daughters Darlene A. Spencer of Port Orchard, WA and Christine S. Everitt of Olean; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 2 brothers James W. (Doris) Nunamaker of Amherst, OH and William C. (Enid) Nunamaker of Tampa, FL; 4 sisters Margaret E. (Jake) Hatzell of Portville, Rebecca L. (Carlos) Miller of Loveland, CO, Patricia L. (Michael) Jacopile of Dunedin, FL and Susan J. (Robert) Sisco of Dade City, FL; several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law Jane Nunamaker of Richmond, KY and a brother-in-law Earl Sterling of Allegany.
She was predeceased by a daughter Debra J. "Debi" Dieteman; 2 brothers Samuel L. Nunamaker and Donald E. "Bud" Nunamaker and a sister Virginia A. "Ginny" Sterling.
Friends will be received on Monday (March 9, 2015) from 11:00am until 1:30pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Services will begin at 1:30pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
