Obituary of Robert Blakeslee

Robert E. Blakeslee Olean, NY Robert E. Blakeslee of 134 N. 9th St. passed away Friday (January 16, 2015) at his home, surrounded in love by his whole family. Born February 9, 1938 in Portville he was the son of Ruby and Minnie Rinehults Blakeslee. Mr. Blakeslee was a self-employed contractor all over the Western New York region, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving companion of 36 years Judy Haight; 8 children Betty Jean Bragg of St. Cloud, FL, Robert E. (Rozella Kelsey) Blakeslee, Jr., Tammy (Dan) Murphy and Tabitha (Lens) Martial, all of Olean; Christopher Haight of Williamsville, Joshua (LaToya) Haight of Portsmouth, VA, Trisha Blakeslee of Olean and Maryann (Adam) Peterson of Olean; 11 grandchildren Tiffany, Joseph, Darian, Julius, Tidaia, Kyleigh, Leigha, Nicholas, Joshalyn, Victorya and Emma; 2 brothers Albert (Maryellen) Blakeslee of Portville and Terry Blakeslee of Olean; 1 sister Virginia Lyons of Portville, several nieces and nephews and his best friend of many years Bill Hartman of Ceres. He was predeceased by a brother James Blakeslee and 2 sisters Ruthann Lockridge and Margaret Karr. Friends will be received on Sunday (January 18, 2015) from 5-6pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Services will begin at 6pm in the funeral home. Rev.
