James R. Zeher Olean, NY James R. Zeher of 217 N. 15th St. passed away Sunday (December 28, 2014) at home due to complications from a stroke. Born August 4, 1951 in Erie, PA he was the son of William G. and Alice R. Lang Zeher. In August of 1979 in Cuba he married Pamela P. Mountain who survives. Mr. Zeher graduated from Olean High School with a reagents diploma and later achieved his pilot's license. He spent many summers at Cuba Lake where he enjoyed boating and scuba diving. He established Jim's Vacuum Sales and Service on W. State St. in Olean that he operated for over thirty years. He was an avid reader, enjoyed history and was proud of his German heritage. Surviving besides his wife Pam are two brothers William (Dianne) Zeher of Bradford, PA and Thomas Zeher of Minneapolis, MN; a sister Bonnie (Dave) Wilson of Wilson and several nieces and nephews. At Mr. Zeher's request, there will be no visitation and no services are being scheduled at this time. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo, 219 Bryant St. Buffalo, NY 14222 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean. Online condolences may be expressed at oleanfuneralhome.com.
