Obituary of Marion G. Brennan

Marion G. Brennan “longtime Olean resident” Olean, NY-- Marion G. Brennan, 93, formerly of N. 8th St. died Friday (December 24, 2004) in the Olean General Hospital following a brief illness. Born January 5, 1911 in Olean she was the daughter of William and Frances Carroll Brennan. A lifelong resident of Olean, Mrs. Brennan worked for several area motels in the housekeeping departments as well as the K-Bar Cutlery Corp. as a general assembler for many years. She will be remembered by all who knew her as a hard working, generous person who enjoyed her Irish heritage. Surviving are a daughter Beverly Hanophy of Olean; 3 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by 3 brothers Frank Brennan, Charles Brennan and John Brennan and a sister Lucy Hinesley, all of Olean. There will be no public visitation. Private services and burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
