Obituary of Carolyn Bucher

Carolyn Ann Bucher Allegany, NY Carolyn Ann Bucher of 73 N. First St. passed away Friday (November 28, 2014) at Olean General Hospital after a short illness. Born August 8, 1942 in Olean she was the daughter of Ernescliff A. and Pauline Cooper Menter. On August 19, 1966 in Allegany she married Allan Bucher who survives. Mrs. Bucher was a homemaker who enjoyed making crafts and playing bingo. Surviving besides her husband are two daughters Melody Bucher Nowak of Monroeville, PA and Annamarie (Barry) Wheeler of Olean; one son Danny (Jessica Wright) Bucher of Olean; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; four brothers Ronald E. (Susan) Menter of Omaha, NE, Walter "Joe" Menter of Allegany, Michael Menter of Wellsville and Richard (Rita) Menter of Jacksonville, FL; one stepsister Marlene (Ronald) Anastasia of Olean and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Ernescliffe Menter; her mother Pauline Boser and her husband Edward and a stepbrother Thomas Boser. The family will receive friends during a Reflection Hour from 1-2pm at St. John's Lutheran Church on N. 4th St. in Allegany on Saturday (December 6, 2014). A memorial service will begin at 2pm in the church. Rev. Dan Buringrud, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Olean General Hospital; Disabled American Veterans Charity, 26 Shanley St. Buffalo, NY 14206; St Joseph's Indian School, PO Box 326 Chamberlain, SD 57326 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
