John A. Smith
Stuart, FL John A. Smith, 65, a native of Olean, passed away September 10, 2014 at Hospice of Stuart.
Born May 12, 1949 in Olean he was the son of Albert G. and Betty Jane White Smith.
John attended Olean schools and moved from the area at the age of sixteen. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1969-1970. He had been employed as a cabinet maker for many years.
Surviving are a daughter Tina McLaren of Stuart, FL; a son Ronald Smith of Palm City, FL; 3 grandchildren; a brother Robert Smith of Alabama; a sister Rose of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews.
A private service was held at the family burial lot in Allegany Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
