Obituary of Ian Elliott

Ian A. Elliott Amherst, NY Ian A. Elliott, 27, of Amherst passed away Tuesday (July 8, 2014). Born August 22, 1986 in Lewistown, PA he was the son of Frederick Elliott and Nancy Elliott leFeber. Ian graduated from Olean High School, class of 2004, and attended the University of Buffalo. He was an avid cyclist, snowboarder, music lover, and movie enthusiast. Ian was tremendously creative and was a gifted artist, poet, and writer. He had an extraordinary way with animals and always cared deeply for his beloved cat and dog. His sense of humor and wit were true gifts to all those who had the honor of knowing him. He will never be forgotten. Surviving are his mother Nancy Elliott (Gerard) leFeber of Olean; his father Frederick Elliott of Amherst; 3 siblings Frederick Michael Elliott of Buffalo, Meiganne (Luis) Elliott-Serrano of Glen Rock, NJ and Patrick Elliott of Amherst; 2 nieces Sofia and Josephine Serrano and 1 nephew Matteo Serrano. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service to be held Tuesday (July 15, 2014) at 11:00am at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 4th and Laurens St., Olean. Rev. Derek Cheek, pastor, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, N. 4th St., Allegany, NY 14706. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
