Dianne M. Kranock Capitani
Olean, NY Dianne M. Kranock Capitani, formerly of 500 E. Spring St. passed away peacefully Friday (November 1, 2013) at the Olean General Hospital.
Born August 13, 1939 in Olean she was the daughter of Douglas I. and Agnes G. Clancy Guenther. She was formerly married to Michael Kranock.
Dianne was an Olean High School graduate and attended hairdressing school in Akron, OH. For years she had been employed as a sales clerk at the former Fox and Stevens, Inc. in Olean.
She was a member of St Mary of the Angels Church and was faithful to both her family and church. She was the treasurer of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians for many years. She also enjoyed her wonderful friends and they joined her in many activities like dancing, playing cards and bowling. She was most happy while relaxing on a beach or swimming in the ocean and for years she enjoyed visiting Cuba Lake.
As her health declined recently she needed special care that The Pines Nursing Home provided and the family is extremely grateful for the personal touch offered by all the staff.
Surviving are four children Jeffrey Kranock of Denton, NC, Christopher (Heather) Kranock of Olean, Jonathan Kranock of Anchorage, AK and Mari L. (William) Howard of Olean; six grandchildren David and Dillon Kranock and Kirk, Kelby, Cameron and Payton Howard; one sister Rita (Stanley) McDonald of Akron, OH; one brother Bernard (Caroline) Guenther of Cape Coral, FL and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a grandson Kyle W. Howard; two brothers John Guenther and Leo Guenther and one sister Beverly Ratzel.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (November 5, 2013) beginning with a prayer service at 9:30am in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00am in St. Mary of the Angels Church. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
