Lucy M. Mohagen
Olean, NY Lucy M. Mohagen of 410 W. Baldwin Ave. passed away peacefully Friday (April 26, 2013) at the Olean General Hospital with her family by her side, after a long illness.
Born April 14, 1920 in Olean she was the daughter of Demetrio and Anna Alegretta Marra. On December 2, 1944 in Providence, RI she married Arthur O. Mohagen, I who survives.
Mrs. Mohagen was a longtime member of St. John's Church in Olean and enjoyed golfing, traveling and playing bridge.
Surviving besides her husband are one son Arthur O. (Sally) Mohagen II of Olean; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter Christine Morehouse; a son-in-law James Morehouse; a grandson Paul Edward Mohagen and five siblings Teresa Arbesman, Mary Autieri, Frances Rogers, Catherine Quinn and Antonio Marra.
Friends will be received on Monday from 7-9pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. A prayer service will be held Tuesday (April 30, 2013) at 9:30am in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00am in St. John's Church in Olean. Rev. Edward Sheedy, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
A scriptural wake service will be held Monday at 8:45pm in the funeral home.
