David P. Rickicki Olean, NY David P. Rickicki of 432 N. 10th St. passed away peacefully Sunday (April 21, 2013) at the Buffalo General Hospital after a long illness. Born April 12, 1946 in Olean he was the son of Umberto and Irene Rzeszutek Rickicki. On December 5, 1981 in Olean he married Patricia A. Ellison who survives. David graduated from Olean High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1968. He had been employed by Dexter Hysol, later Henkel Corp. from 1969 until 1988. He was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church and was a life member of the Pulaski Club of Olean. He especially liked fishing as well as boating with family and friends on area lakes. Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter Kara (Nicholas Coleman) Rickicki of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; two brothers James Rickicki of Daytona Beach, Fl and Joseph Rickicki of Olean; one sister Ann Marie Rickicki of Allegany and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A prayer service will be held Friday (April 26, 2013) at 9:30am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Mary of the Angels Church. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery with full military honors being accorded by the Allegany American Legion Ritual Team. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Kevin's Guest House, 782 Ellicott St. Buffalo, NY 14203 or to St. Mary of the Angels Church. Online condolences may be expressed at oleanfuneralhome.com.
