She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Allegany since 1946 and had participated in its many endeavors through the years, buoyed in part by the joy of being with her church "family". She was a past member of the Allegany Sixty Plus Club and also the Red Hat Society, the "Allegany Hats". She enjoyed golfing at Birch Run Golf Club in the Tuesday Morning Ladies Golf League.
