I am so sad to learn that Wendy has ended her earthly journey. She was a most compassionate and innovative leader in her years at the Cattaraugus County DSS; I had the priviledge of serving as a consultant to her staff on child welfare practice. And we shared some wonderful food and sunsets at her favorite restaurant on my periodic visits to Olean. I'm so sad that she can no longer be our leader! My condolences to her family; your mom and grandmother was a terrific lady.

My sympathies to Wendy,s passing for her passing. Wendy was well known for her innovative approaches to Social Service. My thoughts and prayers are with all of Wendy's family. I will miss her. She set the bar high for the county, and we are all better workers for it. She was there with a shoulder for me more than once. But, that was who she was. Her door was always opened. I admired her bravery the way she faced each day when she was ill. Wendy was a close colleague, mentor and wonderful & well informed person I had the privledge of working with as the Catt County MH Director, Community Services Board members, Leadership-Cattaraugus program and several other committees. She was a great asset to Cattaraugus County and its residents, and was well respected by all. We have lost a major human services resource, but we gained from the years of service, intellect, passion and leadership. She will always be in my thoughts and remembered very fondly. My heart is heavy is learn of Wendy's passing. I had the great privilege of meeting her on our tour of Italty - and then was able to visit in her in New York and tour Niagara Falls and Toronto with her - while enjoying the hospitality of her son's family. In the short time we spent together, we became true friends and I will miss her greatly. My deepest sympathy to her loving family.
