Margaret McCaffery Capozzi Allegany, NY Margaret McCaffery Capozzi of Chipmonk Road passed away Saturday (January 5, 2013) at the Cuba Memorial Hospital Palliative Nursing Care Unit. Born April 3, 1939 in Olean she was the daughter of the late Linus and Anastasia McCaffery. Mrs. McCaffery graduated from Allegany Central School in 1956 and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. She had worked as a staff nurse at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo and at the former St. Francis Hospital and St. Joseph's Manor in Olean. She then was a school nurse at Allegany Central School from 1973 to 1987. Surviving are two sons John F. (Shelly) Capozzi, IV of Plano, TX and Michael B. (Christine) Capozzi of Olean; a step grandson Alex Reed of Plano, TX and one brother Michael J. McCaffery of Allegany. She was predeceased by a brother Bernard McCaffery. At Mrs. Capozzi's request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Limestone Fire Department or to the Palliative Nursing Care Unit, Cuba Memorial Hospital, 140 W. Main St. Cuba, NY 14727. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean. Online condolences may be expressed at oleanfuneralhome.com.
