Allegany- Mary V. Rickard of 3250 W. Five Mile Road, Allegany, passed away Wednesday (November 7, 2012) at her home. Born October 22, 1921 in Glen Campbell, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Cummins Ginter. On April 16, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA, she married Ralph Edward Rickard, who predeceased her in 1989. Mrs. Rickard graduated from Glen Campbell High School. She retired from Allegany Central School as a custodian on October 1, 1985 after 25 years of service. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and embroidering. Surviving are her children Cora M. Martin of Allegany, Mary Lee (David) Napier of Sebring, FL.; three grandchildren Matthew Martin of Olean, Steven (Shannon) Napier of Evans, GA, Amy (Andrew) Laird of Lakeland, FL; four great-grandchildren Garrett Martin, Kira Martin, Kelsey Laird, Brook Napier; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her siblings Russell Ginter, Harold Ginter, John Ginter, Francis Ginter, Darl Ginter, Harry Ginter, Thelma Ryan, Wava Greathouse, Floreteen Hicks. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean on Saturday (November 10, 2012) from 10am-12pm, at which time funeral services will begin. Rev. Brad Chesebro, pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HomeCare &amp; Hospice, 1225 W.
