Richard Joseph Passero Micco, FL Richard J. Passero of Micco, FL passed away July 30, 2012 at his home. Born January 25, 1944 in Manhattan he was a son of William and Angelina Ferraro Passero, Sr. He was formerly married to Gale Church. Mr. Passero attended school at Copiague (NY) High School and then served in the Vietnam War with the US Air Force from 1964 to 1968 where he attained the rank of sergeant. He was stationed at Otis Air Force Base in Massachusetts and worked as a certified aircraft mechanic. He first worked for Dresser Industries in Painted Post for a number of years and then did various maintenance jobs. He also worked for Orkin Pest Control in Florida. Surviving are two daughters Donna (Ladd) Stady of Allegany and Diane (Randy) Spring of Allegany; three grandchildren Amanda Stady, Tyler Stady and Dakota Spring; five brothers and sisters William (Santina) Passero, Jr. of Brooklyn; Jeanette DiSarno Law of Florida, Patricia Townsend of Florida, Robert Passero of Pennsylvania and Michael Passero of Florida and fifteen nieces and nephews. A private memorial graveside service will be held at the family's convenience at the Bath National Cemetery with full military honors being accorded at the grave.
