Obituary of Gerard Robbins

Gerard L. "Jerry" Robbins Olean, NY Gerard L. "Jerry" Robbins of 128 E. Henley St. died Thursday (August 9, 2012). Born June 4, 1954 in Olean, NY he was the son of Lewis and Mildred Platt Robbins. He was married to Michelle Barber who survives. Jerry was a resident of the Olean and surrounding area most of his life and lived for a period of time in Savona, NY. He attended Olean High School and then served in the US Navy from 1971 to 1973. He had been a self employed carpenter and plumber for many years. He had many hobbies including coin collecting and metal detecting as well as having been an avid reader. His passion was for the outdoors where he enjoyed camping, fishing, trapping and hunting. He is survived by five children April Clemens of Bolivar, Chad (Tina) Robbins of Lockport and Dan Clark, Sara Clark and Ryan Robbins, all of Olean; twelve grandchildren; one brother Hugh Litto of Rochester and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and a son Ty L. Robbins on February 26, 2008. All are welcome to an informal gathering of family and friends at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Monday (August 13, 2012) from 5 until 7pm. At 5:30pm, full military honors will be accorded by members of the Allegany American Legion Ritual Team.
