Obituary of Helen Gepinger

Helen D. Gepinger Olean, NY Helen D. Gepinger of 121 N. 10th St. passed away Thursday (July 26, 2012) at Cuba Memorial Hospital's Skilled Nursing Facility. Born July 28, 1915 in Olean she was the daughter of Andrew and Katherine Kosinski Pustawski. She was married to Joseph C. Gepinger who predeceased her March 28, 1976. Mrs. Gepinger was a lifelong resident of Olean and had been employed at the former Daystrom Furniture Co. in Olean. She was a longtime member of St. Mary of the Angels Church and was devout in her faith. She also was a former member of the Trans Villa Society and was a former volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, all of whom she held dear to her heart. They include James Muniga, Ricky Rice, Timothy Muniga, Lisa Rice, Nancy Rice, Janelle Klippel, Judy Muniga, Victoria Veno, Edward Muniga, Michael Muniga, Amy Muniga and Joseph Muniga and a sister-in-law Betty Pustaski of Cicero, IL. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by three brothers Anthony Pustawski, John "Hippo" Pustawski and Stanley Pustawski; one sister Victoria Muniga and two nephews Edward J. Muniga and John Pustawksi, Jr.. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Sunday from 4-7pm. Funeral services will be held Monday (July 30, 2012) beginning with a prayer service at 9:30am in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00am in St. Mary of the Angels Church. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Mary of the Angels Church.
