Christine Worden Johnston Olean, NY Christine Worden Johnston, 39. of 332 N. 13th St. passed away Sunday (February 19, 2012) in Millard Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo, following a brief illness. Born December 3, 1972 in Olean she was the daughter of Robert Worden and Shirley Blinn. On August 23, 2003 in Allegany she married William D. Johnston who survives. Christine was a 1991 graduate of Allegany Central School and was a fun loving family member and friend who always had a joyful personality. While in high school she attended AllState Choir and was active in the Olean Theater Workshop. Surviving besides her husband are her mother of Ft. McCoy, FL; her father of Olean; two sisters Beth (Daniel) Worden-Vuckovich of Ft. McCoy, FL and Amy (Larry) Worden-Jodush of Olean and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Friday from 5-8pm. A memorial service will be held Saturday (February 25, 2012) at 1:00pm at the Creekside Chapel on the Five Mile Road in Allegany. Rev. Kenneth Tesch, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to Creekside Chapel or to the American Cancer Society.
