Fay A. Hogand Salamanca, NY Fay A. Hogand of Salamanca, formerly of Chipmonk Road in Allegany passed away Thursday (January 26, 2012) in the Olean General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born July 23, 1927 in Salamanca she was the daughter of Charles and Leona Reed Bennett. On March 27, 1948 she married Harry R. Hogand who predeceased her October 3, 2008. Mrs. Hogand had been employed as a custodian for the Allegany Central School District prior to her retirement. She enjoyed needlework as a hobby and loved caring for her family. Surviving are three daughters Debbie (Lee) Willett of Great Valley, Darla (Walt) Reiller of Salamanca, and Grace (Joe Hoffman) Ramsey of Olean; two sons Ronald (Jenny) Hogand of Bradford and Robert Hogand of Olean; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a daughter Margaret Hogand; four sisters Eva, Pat, Marian and Agnes; three brothers Burt, Lyle and Norman; a daughter-in-law Ann Hogand and a son-in-law Bill Ramsey. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held Monday (January 30, 2012) at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
