Obituary of Kenneth R. Sherwin

Kenneth R. Sherwin Clearwater, Florida-- Kenneth R. Sherwin, a former resident of Allegany died suddenly November 6, 2002 at his residence. Born August 24, 1938 in Olean, NY he was the son of Otis A. and Maxine F. Enders Sherwin. Mr. Sherwin had spent many years residing in different states where he worked construction jobs and as an auto mechanic. He also served with the US Army. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion, both of Salamanca, NY. and he played the bass fiddle for many years with the Sherwin Boys Band in the Allegany area. Surviving are 2 brothers Don (Donna) Sherwin of Allegany and Dave (Debbie) Sherwin of Hinsdale and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 1 brother Dick Sherwin and 1 sister Georgia Page. There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held Wednesday (December 4, 2002) at 1:00pm in the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Rev. Frank Hayman, pastor of the Allegany Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial of Mr. Sherwin’s cremated remains will be in Allegany Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
