Obituary of Linda Gunsolus

Hinsdale- Linda M. Gunsolus of 3570 Route 16 in Hinsdale, passed away Saturday (December 17, 2011) at the Olean General Hospital after a long illness. Born November 4, 1951 in Olean, she was the daughter of Leo and Carol Brooks Moyer. On October 31, 1975 in Olean, she married Stanley Gunsolus who survives. Mrs. Gunsolus was a 1969 graduate of Oswayo Valley High School. She was later employed at the former Hills Department store in Olean as the jewelry manager. She was active in the Boy Scouts Troop # 614, enjoyed crocheting and watching her kids play sports. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents, of Shinglehouse, PA; three children Doug (Melissa) Gunsolus of Eldred, PA, Stacy Giberson of Hinsdale, Jason Gunsolus of Hinsdale; four brothers Bob Moyer of Olean, Karl Moyer of Texas, Dale Moyer of Shinglehouse, PA, Scott Moyer of Somerset, PA; eight grandchildren Heather, Tyler, Anthony, Cody, Jesse, Ashley, Austin, and Jamilyn; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Jim Moyer. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean, on Tuesday from 5-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (December 21, 2011) at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery.
