Aunt Ruth was a great mentor in a spiritual and soft way. I will always remember her for the Christ like example that she made into the fabric of her life.

Dear Girls, I rarely look at this site. Why would I look today? I felt so close to her. She insisted I be at her wedding even though I was expecting momentarily. Our last visit in her home was a couple of years ago . We enjoyed ourselves immensely. You all have my deepest sympathy. Dorothy (and daughter Cheryl)

Growing up within the Cash sphere of influence, I can most clearly remember how highly your Mother was thought of by my parents, my mother - also a nurse, in particular. It is never easy to say goodbye to a loved one, and all of you will be in my thoughts as you work your way through your grief. I will keep you in mind with very warm thoughts.

Dear Cash Family, I was so saddened to hear of the loss of your beautiful mother. What a wonderful woman she was. She has touched the lives of so many and her wonderful memories will remain with us all forever. I always remember her sweet smile when she would come in to give communion to my dad when he was at the hospital. He always knew who she was. She will be looking down upon you all with love and pride as you continue your lives without her. I feel so blessed to have known her. I wish you and your family God's blessings as you go through this difficult time. Please know you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Phyllis and family.

Dear girls - What a good and true friend Ruth was, not only to my mother and father, but also to me! I consider it such a privilege to have known her and thought of her as my "second mother", just as you all are my extended family. Thank you for letting me be part of it! How I wish I could be with you now, but it just isn't possible. Please receive a big hug - each and every one of you: Chris, Caroline, Celeste, Cecile, Cindy, Carla, Camille and Caren. I have such special memories of each of you throughout the years, be it in Olean, Baruca, Florida, Puerto Rico, or even Switzerland (Carla!) and of course, the thread that was woven through it all was Ruth (or was she the weaver??) She'll always occupy a special place in my heart. I hope Chris will share my e-mail with you all. Much love and deepest sympathy at this time from Sharon

Aunt Ruth was always wonderful to each of the Stophas. Always ready with a sandwich and glass of milk when you stopped in and always willing to take us in for a few days to give our mother (and her sister, Jeanne Stopha) a break from at least one her misfits!! My childhood memories are filled with "Aunt Ruth" We love you very much and are joyful because we know that you are Home with the Lord now. May God continue to Bless and console the entire Cash family. Joel Stopha

Mrs. Cash was the epitome of a life well-lived. It was a privilege to have known both Dr. and Mrs. Cash who quietly impacted so many lives in so many ways. While she will be dearly missed, she is undoubtedly enjoying the eternal peace she earned, together with Dr. Cash. My condolences to the entire Cash family.

Dear Christine, I remember your mom as such a kind and beautiful woman! Both of your parents provided us with hours and hours of wonderful experiences at "The Farm". I loved those days! I am happy that your mom had such a purposeful and fulfilling life with a peaceful passing. What more could any of us ask for? I know she will be missed dearly. I hope you are well and happy. With warm regards, Kathy

I know that no one needs to tell the "Cash girls" what a special lady they had for a Mom. I met Ruth by proxy. I married the youngest "Crawford" and knew that she was his second Mom. It quickly became apparent what an amazing woman she was and how she truely lived her life true to her beliefs and convictions. She touched so many lives in a positive way. So many words could be used to describe her, intelligent, strong, independent, compassionate, down to earth, the list goes on. But if allowed only one word I would choose "grace" for she exemplified and embodied it. In fact Chris considers her to have been his "saving grace". We only hope all your rich memories will help to comfort you.

To the Cash Family, Your Mom and Dad ment so much to our family over all these many years. It's a shame we moved so far away from each other. All you daughters knew how close my Mom was to yours. Fast friends they became when Dad brought his Southern bride to see the snow in Olean. through Mom and Dads loss of their Baby Christine. They are all together; Aunt Ruth, Uncle George, Mom and Christine. We understand that you all are continuing your Parents traditions. May Our Father, Jesus and The Holy Spirit bring all of us together once again. The Smyth Family

Caroline, Caren, and the rest of the girls, please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your mom. I will always remember her kindness (and patience) that she showed all of us Smith Hollow kids by allowing us to swim, play basketball/tennis, ... during the summers. I will never forget her. Sincerely, Dave Bradley, Lebanon, PA
