Obituary of Shirley Schnettler

Shirley E. Schnettler Olean, NY Shirley E. Schnettler of 350 Front St. Apt. 306 died Wednesday (April 6, 2011) in the Bradford Manor in Bradford, PA after a short illness. Born December 31, 1936 in Cuba, NY she was the daughter of Adrian and True Davis Allen. On January 31, 1959 in Bolivar she married Ronald Schnettler who predeceased her June 11, 1988. Mrs. Schnettler was a graduate of Friendship Central School and had attended beauty school in Buffalo. She worked a short time as a beautician. She resided in Texas for many years and worked as a retail clerk, returning to New York State in 2005 and to Olean in 2006. She enjoyed crocheting and canning. Surviving are three daughters Lynn (Wesley) Brownlee of Cleburne, TX, Lorie Stoneberger of Luray, VA and Lisa (Pete) Marin of Salamanca; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister Sue (Dale) House of Cleburne, TX and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by one brother Fred Allen. There will be no prior visitation. Mrs. Schnettler donated her body to medical science. Friends are invited to attend a memorial celebration on Saturday (April 9, 2011) at 3pm in Community Room B at Aspen Towers, 350 Front St., Olean. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
