Obituary of John Richardson

John T. Richardson Coudersport, PA John T. Richardson, formerly of Olean, died Thursday (December 29, 2010) at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born March 10, 1933 in Olean, NY he was the son of Otis and Ethel Johns Richardson. Mr. Richardson was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War from 1951 until 1955. He remained with the US Army Reserve until his discharge in 1960. Prior to his military service he had been employed by Stroehmann's Bakery. He later worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and most recently as a janitor for the Presbyterian Church in Olean. He had been residing at the Sweden Valley Nursing Home for the past 10 years. Surviving are 2 sisters Virginia Reynolds of Rochester and Kathleen (Gary) Glase of Adrian, Michigan; 3 brothers Charles (Bernice) of Cuba, Richard (Charlotte) Richardson of Randolph and Donald (Dorothy) Richardson of Franklinville and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers James Richardson and Otis Richardson Private funeral services will be held Monday (January 3, 2011) at 1:00pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
