Obituary of Rose Rhinehart

Rose M. Rhinehart Olean, NY Rose M. Rhinehart, a former resident of Homer St. and for the last several years of The Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olean, died Sunday (November 21, 2010) at The Pines. Born August 23, 1921 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of John and Anna Subak Sorochin. In 1940 in Maryland she married Wilbert C. Rhinehart who predeceased her October 30, 1973. Mrs. Rhinehart was a lifelong resident of Olean and had been employed by the former Acme Electric Co. in Allegany and later by St. Bonaventure University in the housekeeping department. She also worked at K-Mart as a clerk prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. John's Church in Olean and was an avid bingo player. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Surviving are 2 sons Norman (Nadine) Rhinehart of Allegany and David Rhinehart of Connecticut; 1 daughter Nancy Clark of Olean; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, a step great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Private funeral services will be held at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean on Wednesday (November 24, 2010) with Rev. William Sheedy, pastor of St. John's Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Friends of The Pines 2245 W. State St. Olean, NY or to a charity of the donor's choice.
