Obituary of Gilda M. Neudeck

Gilda M. Neudeck Allegany, NY-- Gilda M. Neudeck of Colonial Village, recently of Eden Heights died Friday (April 4, 2003) in the Olean General Hospital. Born October 24, 1914 in West Valley, NY she was the daughter of Lewis and Helen Schumacher Wurtz. On October 20, 1945 in Olean she married Lawrence C. Neudeck who predeceased her May 3, 1995. Mrs. Neudeck formerly resided in Wheeling and Parkersburg, W. Virginia and also Dayton, Ohio, having worked as a government inspector prior to her marriage. She later lived in Buffalo for three years and in Hamburg for forty six years prior to moving to Allegany in 1994. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church. Surviving are 3 sisters Agnes Wurtz, Carol Wurtz and Ruth Nolan, all of Olean; 1 brother Lloyd (Fran) Wurtz of Allegany and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by 2 sisters !LeEtta Bentkowski and Mary Foskit. There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial mass on Monday (April 7, 2003) at 10:00am in St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. Richard Husted, OFM, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in West Valley, NY. Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
