Obituary of Rosemary McCormick

Rosemary McCormick Olean, NY Rosemary McCormick of 1951 W. Fall Rd. died Saturday (July 24, 2010) at her residence while surrounded by her loving caregivers. Born August 30, 1931 in Erie, PA she was the daughter of Marguerita Abbey McCormick and step daughter of Lawrence McCormick. Rosemary first worked as a live-in housekeeper in the Port Allegany, PA area and in more recent years had worked at SubCon Industries in Olean, retiring in 1991. She attended the Linwood Center in Olean until 2003. She always loved keeping herself looking nice and she expressed a great love for children. She enjoyed many television programs including cooking shows, game shows, sit coms, old movies, and especially the I Love Lucy show. She also took pleasure in watching birds and going on outings with her friends. She is survived by 7 half siblings and will be greatly missed by her many friends and caregivers she met through her association with the ReHabilitation Center over the years. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Tuesday from 1-3 and 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday (July 28, 2010) at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Homecare and Hospice 1225 W.
