Allegany-- Klara F. Greenwood, of 62 North 3rd Street, Allegany, passed away Friday (June 18, 2010) at the Olean General Hospital, after a long illness. Born May 20, 1935 in Badsoden Salmuenster Germany, she was the daughter of Hermann and Therese Noell Gerlach. On August 20, 1962 in Romsthal Germany, she married Robert Greenwood, who predeceased her December 19, 1992. Mrs. Greenwood was a Army housewife when she and her husband moved to the United States. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and the Allegany American Legion Charles Harbel Post 892. She enjoyed baking, cooking and playing euchre. Surviving are her 2 sisters Wilhelmine (Heinrich) Lauer and Inge (Yosef) Yockel; 1 brother Wilhelm (Christel) Gerlach; 1 sister-in-law Mary Jane Foster; 2 brother-in-laws Paul Greenwood and Samuel Greenwood; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig &amp; Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Road, this evening from 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday (June 22, 2010) at 10am at St. Bonaventure Church. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. Memorials if desired, may be made to the Allegany American Legion, Charles Harbel Post 892, PO Box 233, Allegany, NY 14706. Allegany - Klara F. Mai 1935 in Badsoden Salmünster Deutschland, sie war die Tochter von Hermann und Therese Noell Gerlach. Am 20. August 1962 in Romsthal Deutschland, heiratete sie Robert Greenwood, die starben vor ihr 19. Dezember 1992. Mrs. Greenwood war eine Armee Hausfrau, wenn sie und ihr Mann in die Vereinigten Staaten verlegt. Sie war Mitglied des St. Bonaventura Kirche und der Allegany American Legion Post 892 Harbel Charles. Sie genoss Backen, Kochen und Spielen euchre. Hinterbliebener sind ihre 2 Schwestern Wilhelmine (Heinrich) und Inge Lauer (Yosef) Yockel; 1 Bruder Wilhelm (Christel) Gerlach; 1 Schwester-in-law Mary Jane Foster, 2. Schwager Paul Greenwood Gesetze und Samuel Greenwood, und mehrere Nichten und Neffen. Freunde werden am Casey, Halwig &amp; Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Road empfangen werden, an diesem Abend von 7-9pm. Eine Masse von christliches Begräbnis findet am Dienstag statt (22. Juni 2010) um 10 Uhr in St. Bonaventura Kirche. Burial wird in Allegany Friedhof.
