Sue, Amy, and Seth, When I remember Mark, I recall a husband, father, and grandfather that loved his family very much. I also recall a family whose love for him held no bounds. The storms of life are endured through boundless love. God’s love for us sets the example. Writing about God’s boundless love Frederick Lehman gives us a small glimpse when he said, “Could we with ink the ocean fill, And were the skies of parchment made, Were every stalk on earth a quill, And every man a scribe by trade. To write the love of God above, Would drain the ocean dry, Nor could the scroll contain the whole, Though stretched from sky to sky.” I am thankful for all those who loved Mark enough that he too caught that glimpse of divine love and accepted Jesus Christ’s precious gift of salvation. We will see Mark again someday along with our Savior. Phyllis and I are so sorry that we will not be able to be there for Mark’s memorial service. We love you and you are in our prayers.
