"centenarian"
Salamanca, NY Grace Preston, 100, formerly of Olean, died Sunday (April 18, 2010) in the Absolut of Salamanca where she had resided since 2001.
Born October 21, 1909 in Watertown, NY she was the daughter of Wilford and Louise Volmer Mosier. On October 21, 1978 in Olean she married Samuel M. Preston who predeceased her September 23, 1980.
Mrs. Preston was a friendly person who before her health failed enjoyed visiting with others each day, usually at the Burger King Restaurant. She liked to collect watches and she loved animals.
Surviving are 1 grandson and 1 granddaughter.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Friday (April 23, 2010) from 10 to 11am at which time funeral services will be held. Rev. Bert Tidlund, pastor of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Hornell, will officiate. Burial will be next to her husband in Mt. View Cemetery Veterans Field of Honor, Olean, NY.
