Obituary of Theresa Earle

Allegany-- Theresa A. Earle of 3406 Fortune Drive, passed away Wednesday (February 17, 2010) shortly after arrival at the Olean General Hospital, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born December 15, 1939 in Olean, she was the daughter of John and Anna Washington Mojak. On July 19, 1969 at Transfiguration Church, in Olean, she married Herbert Earle, who survives. Mrs. Earle was a graduate of Olean High School class of 1958. She was first employed by Dresser Rand Co. and then for the former VanDerHorst corporation. Later on, she went to work for St. Bonaventure University as a secretary in the food service department, where she retired from in 2001. She had attended Transfiguration Church and St. Bonaventure Church for many years. Surviving besides her husband are 2 brothers John (Jean) Washington of Olean, Michael (JoAnne) Washington of Spencerport, NY; 1 uncle Mike (Mary) Benca; 2 aunts Mary Butinski and Jo (Jim) Lee; many cousins; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road on Friday from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (February 20, 2010) beginning with a 9:30am prayer service at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. Richard Husted, OFM, pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will be at St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
