Obituary of Lillie Malone

Elmira, NY- Lillie B. Malone of 1216 Hall Street, Elmira, passed away Friday (November 6, 2009) at the Elcor Health Services facility in Horseheads, NY. Born June 6, 1916, in Decatur, GA, she was the daughter of Lee and Addie Smith Norris. In 1934, she married the Rev. William T. Malone, who predeceased her March 20, 1962. Mrs. Malone was employed for the Pennsylvania Railroad Company and later on as a Nurses Aide at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira. She was a life time member of the Church of God and Christ. She loved cooking and spending time with her family and was a wonderful caregiver. Surviving are her 3 children George Malone, Robert Malone and Esther Malone all of Elmira; many grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Besides her husband she was predeceased by a daughter Ernestine McPeak on December 12, 2008. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral home, 3128 W. State Road on Wednesday (November 11, 2009) from 12-2pm at which time funeral services will begin. Rev. Pendexter Mack of the Elmira Word of Faith Church of God in Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Memorials if desired maybe made to the Word of Faith Church of God in Christ, 213 Madison Ave. Elmira NY, 14901
