Obituary of Marguerite Kuite

Marguerite I. Kuite Allegany, NY-Marguerite I. Kuite, 90, formerly of 108 Colonial Village died Monday (October 26, 2009) in The Pines Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Olean. Born January 27, 1919 in Birmingham, England she was the daughter of Francis and Lily Caroline Moore Dillon. A graduate of the London School of Ballet, Mrs. Kuite taught ballet in Salamanca and Olean for many years. During WWII in England, she helped assemble spitfire aircraft for the British Royal Air Force. She appeared in many community theater productions in Friendship, Salamanca and Olean. She was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Olean. She is survived by her three children Logan J. Birnie of St. George, Utah, Terry L. Niver, Sr. and Elaine Dwyer, both of Olean; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 brother John Dillon of England; 1 sister-in-law Carmel Dillon of England and several nieces and nephews residing in England, Australia and the United States. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph M. Kuite in 1989 and a brother David Dillon. There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service to be held Wednesday (October 28, 2009) at 11:00am in the Casey, Halwig &amp; Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. The Very Rev. Philip G. Houghton, rector of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Olean, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church 109 S. Barry St. Olean, NY, The Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center 2245 W. State St. Olean or to the Cattaraugus County SPCA 2944 Olean Hinsdale Rd.
