Obituary of Stephen Lockwood

Stephen T. "Spock" Lockwood Hinsdale, NY-Stephen T. "Spock" Lockwood of 3531 Fay Hollow Rd. died Saturday (September 5, 2009) in the Olean General Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born March 9, 1961 in Olean, NY he was the son of Rodney N. and Nancy S. Quick Lockwood. Mr. Lockwood was a lifelong resident of Hinsdale and was a 1979 graduate of Hinsdale Central School. He then enlisted with the US Navy where he served until 1982. He had first been employed by Bush Industries in Fredonia and later worked for the Moser Safe Co. in Franklinville. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and he loved his German Shepard "Admiral" whom he considered his best friend. Surviving are 2 brothers Wade Lockwood of Cartersville, GA and Richard Lockwood of Hinsdale; 1 sister Beth Lockwood of Hinsdale; 2 nephews Kyle Geuder and Philip Geuder; 1 niece Victoria Geuder and several aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his parents and his grandparents. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig &amp; Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Friday (September 11, 2009) from noon until 2:00pm. Funeral services will begin at 2:00pm with Fr. Barry Allaire to officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
