Obituary of Charles Giardini

Charles A. "Chip" Giardini Olean, NY-Charles A. "Chip" Giardini of 1642 E. River Rd. died Saturday (September 5, 2009) in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born September 24, 1963 in Olean, NY he was the son of Frank and Rose Gerringer Giardini. On March 10, 1995 in Niagara Falls, NY he married Estelle C. Jones who survives. Mr. Giardini was a 1981 graduate of Allegany Central School and had been employed for 28 years for Griffith Energy in Olean as the Division Manager for Western New York. He was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church. He was a family member and friend whom everyone could count on for help at any time and he will be remembered for his great sense of humor. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and four wheeling. Surviving besides his wife are his parents of Allegany; 3 children Robert Giardini, Emily Giardini and Kyle Giardini, all at home; 5 siblings Richard (Melodie) Giardini of Allegany, Daniel (Lynda) Giardini of Powhatan, VA, Pamela (David) Redden of Allegany, John (Claudia) Giardini of Olean and Timothy (Kim) Giardini of Corry, PA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jennifer (Ed) Baldwin; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and close friends Steven Hamed of Olean and Douglas Woodworth of Allegany. He was predeceased by an infant daughter Estelle Giardini. There will be no public visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Tuesday (September 8, 2009) at 10:00am in St. Mary of the Angels Church. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Elm and Carlton St. Buffalo, NY 14263 or to Homecare and Hospice 1225 W. State St. Olean, NY 14760.
