Patricia Ann Kiener
"Loving wife, mother and grandmother"
Allegany, NY-Patricia Ann Kiener of 3388 Maple Ave. passed away Friday (July 10, 2009) in her home after a lengthy illness.
Born November 15, 1937 in Holland, NY she was the daughter of Clifford and Rita McCarthy Roth. On November 24, 1956 in St. Joseph's Church in Holland she married Wayne P. Kiener who survives.
Mrs. Kiener was a 1955 graduate of Holland Central School and had worked for the Holland Pharmacy, the Candy Kitchen in Holland and for Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Buffalo. She later worked for CVS Pharmacy in Olean and for the St. Elizabeth's Motherhouse. She then worked for the former Allegany Nursing Home and River Park Health Care Center in Allegany (now the Absolut Care of Allegany) as a physical therapy aide, retiring in 1999.
She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and she enjoyed bowling, jumble words, playing cards and gardening. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving besides her husband are 5 children Debra (Kevin) Slavin of Columbus, OH, Kathleen (Robert) Barazotto of Mt. Airy, MD, Jacqueline Kiener of Queens and Michael (Lisa) Kiener and Nancy (Kevin) Shay, both of Allegany; 10 grandchildren Stephanie Wood, Lisa Neiser, Patrick Barazotto, Phillip Barazotto, Daniel Barazotto, Evan Kiener, Kylee Kiener, Brianna Shay, Ryan Shay and Ashley Shay; 3 great grandchildren; 1 brother Flip (Lynn) Roth of Holland; 1 sister Donna (Robert) Brant of Holland and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (July 14, 2009) beginning with a prayer service at 9:30am in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00am in St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. Ron Pecci, OFM, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Allegany Fire Department.

Tuesday July 14, 2009 Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bonaventure Church at 10:00am. Prayer service at funeral home at 9:30am.
