Rita M. Keim Allegany, NY Rita M. Keim, formerly of Maple Ave. passed away Friday (May 6, 2016) at The Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olean. Born April 24, 1916 in Olean she was the daughter of Frank and Martha Brandel Stomierosky. On June 16, 1941 in Olean she married Leo "Ken" Keim who predeceased her June 26, 1996. Mrs. Keim resided for the past few years at The Pines and was recently honored by her family for her 100 years of life. She lived in this area her entire life and graduated from Olean High School. In addition to raising her family and helping to take care of children for several area doctors in past years, she volunteered in many ways for organizations such as St. Bonaventure Church, its former Parochial School, the Altar Society, the American Red Cross, the Allegany District election board and the Allegany Historical Society. She enjoyed her membership with the Allegany Lady Knights and the 60 Plus Club of Allegany. Surviving are 4 children Connie Della Pietra of Palmyra, VA, Joyce (Ray) Jonak of Allegany, Kenneth (Bonnie) Keim of Bradenton, FL and Kathy (Timothy) Outman of Alachua, FL; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; a sister Gloria (Fred) Tansey of Annandale, VA; a stepbrother Charles (Rose) Kwiatkowski of Olean; a daughter-in-law Julie Keim of Hinsdale and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a son Michael Keim on July 14, 2009; 1 sister and 4 brothers. There will be no prior visitation. Friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held Tuesday (May 10, 2016) at 9:30am at St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. James Vacco, OFM, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Bonaventure Church or to the Allegany Knights of Columbus. Online condolences may be expressed at oleanfuneralhome.com.
