Olean, NY-- Mary A. Smith of 106 S. 18th Street, passed away Thursday (April 23, 2009) at her home.
Born January 17, 1943 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of Lorn Emmett and Grace Quigley Smith.
Ms. Smith received her Masters Degree from St. Bonaventure University and had been employed for many years as an educator at various schools. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church and in recent years had been the television host of the Olean Access program called Yada Yada Yada and another called the Enzyme Connection.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by 2 brothers Sherman R. Smith and John Smith.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean on Monday from 9:30-10:30am at which time funeral services will begin. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery.
